Since we’re all quarantined until who-knows when because of COVID-19, I’ve been doing a little more cooking than normal. Here’s one of the recipes I’ve been tweaking, which is a crumb-topping, good for coffee cake muffins, banana bread, etc! It’s not quite perfect yet, so it may require some experimentation.
This contains about enough for a single 9×5 bread pan, with some of the crumb topping on both the top and in the middle of the bread:
Ingredients
- 3Tbsp Flour
- 3Tbsp Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 1Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2Tbsp Butter
Instructions
Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
Next, melt 2 Tbsp of butter, and mix. You may need to add more or less butter to achieve your desired consistency. More butter yields larger crumbs.
Sprinkle on top of breads & muffins.
